Check-up Appointments and Exams:
Regular dental checkups enable your dentist to identify and address early indications of conditions including tooth damage or injury, decay, gum infections, and disease. Early detection and treatment of an issue is much preferable until it becomes serious. At our office we use modern digital X-rays.X-rays enable our dentists to inspect the areas under the gums, identify and treat tooth health issues. There is extremely little risk to your health from modern digital X-rays because they use very little radiation.
When Are Dental Check-ups Needed?
Most patients should visit the dentist every six months for a routine examination and cleaning.
You may need more frequent check-ups if you:
- Have a history of gum disease or tooth decay
- Experience pain, swelling, or bleeding gums
- Wear braces, dentures, or dental implants
- Have dry mouth or medical conditions affecting oral health
- Notice sensitivity or visible changes in your teeth or gums
Regular visits help keep your smile healthy and prevent small issues from turning into bigger problems.
